Mrtvice Canyon is one of the most beautiful canyons in the Balkans. Well hidden under Mount Morača and Mount Maganik, it has been preserved as a real treasure of untouched nature in the wild. Only 30 km from Chalet Kolašin is the village Međuriječje, which hides the magnificent beauty of the canyon. The canyon starts near Međuriječje (190 m above sea level), and after 10 km it ends near the village of Velje Duboko (880 m above sea level). In some places the canyon is about 1,250 meters deep. Its water is completely clean and drinkable. Kolašin 1450 Ski Resort has ski lifts reconstructed, as well as a two-seat cable car, there is also a newly built Vilina Voda six-seat cable car, which is the most modern object of this kind in Montenegro.
