Njegoš's mausoleum is located at the very top of the Lovćen mountain, more precisely at 1660 meters above sea level, on Jezerski vrh. The mausoleum was built as the eternal house of Peter II Petrović Njegoš. Njegoš was the ruler of Montenegro, a poet, a bishop and the embodiment of an extremely brave man who wanted to free his people from slavery and elevate them economically, socially, culturally and spiritually. Bishop often went to Lovćen to observe the beautiful Boka from the top of the mountain, from where one of the most beautiful views of the bride of the Adriatic opens. Since he was a very wise man, Njegoš requested that his eternal house be on the second highest peak of Lovcen, and that the highest peak be left as the eternal resting place of a greater ruler of Montenegro than he himself was. It would be done that way, and the highest peak of Lovcen is still waiting for that master, better than Njegoš, who will rest there.novirednovirednovirednoviredPrimarily, a chapel was built here by order of Njegoš, where he wanted to rest. The chapel was demolished in the First World War (January 1916) and was rebuilt by King Aleksandar Karađorđević in 1925. After the Second World War, the newly formed government in Montenegro demolished the chapel and erected a mausoleum instead of the church.novirednovirednovirednoviredThe famous sculptor Ivan Meštrović made a sketch of the mausoleum, and it is said that he never lived to see his work on top of the mountain. There are various stories about how much Ivan Meštrović was paid for the design of the mausoleum. According to many sources, this was one of the most expensive projects in Yugoslavia at the time.novirednoviredThe mausoleum was opened in 1970, because the construction was halted for a while. Njegoš was originally buried in the Cetinje Monastery, until the completion of the mausoleum. A narrow road for cars (from the village of Njeguši) and exactly 461 steps lead to the top of the mausoleum, which represents the number of verses in Njegoš's famous literary work "Mountain Wreath".

Šipčanik Wine Basement
Šipčanik was opened at the end of 2007, after the first phase of reconstruction, which lasted a little over a year and in which Plantaže invested two million euros. The basement is located at an average depth of over 30 meters below the ground. It is in the form of a winding tunnel, 356 meters long, with an average width of 13.5 and a height of 7 meters. The temperature is almost constant - between 17 and 19 degrees. Humidity - 70 to 80%. In an impressive space, on 7,000 square meters, wine is nurtured in wooden vessels in almost ideal climatic and technological conditions. Two million liters of old wine are aged in wooden barrels and bottles.novirednovirednovirednoviredWithin the cellar is a wine shop with 28,000 bottles of wine, aged 3 to 10 years .... and there is the oldest wine Plantaža - Lesendro from the 1979 vintage - after almost 30 years, still cheerful and drinkable. It also testifies to the fact that the longevity of the crow is not yet fully understood.novirednoviredLarge tasting room, 200m2, is fully equipped for both professional tastings and wine evaluations, but is available to all tourists and passers-by on the wine routes, who here can not only try all the wines Plantation - horizontal and vertical collection of varieties, vintages and styles - but also to enjoy an unforgettable combination of homemade food and homemade wines.novirednovirednovirednoviredThe Šipčanik cellar has also given new impetus to wine tourism, which the Plantations have been intensively developing over the last decade. Since it is located only 30 km from the Adriatic Sea, it is visited in large numbers by tourists who spend their summers on the Montenegrin coast. But, Šipčanik is open for tourists throughout the year, so that many guests come to this basement every day.
